Stunningly beautiful double-pack from OCH for Autoreply Music's 20th release. Following on from output on renowned labels like PAL SL, Trelik, Bass Culture he returns to Autoreply with seven tracks of
playable perfection. By focusing on stripped-back percussive grooves, sparse 909 drum-programming and ultra fine-tuned dynamics he certainly proves with tracks "Samarkand Sulci" and "Snarecrow" that the original jackin' house/techno sound will always have plenty of life and soul. Following on from his 2012 Autoreply debut The Model steps up again with a precise, deadly-effective two tracker. As a producer he can never be pigeon-holed serving up his mysterious blends of deep, robotic, space- funk across labels like Traum Schallplatten, Crosstown Rebels and his own Adult Central imprint . "Night Time's The Right Time" finds the Romanian in fine-form laying down punchy drums with pulsating-bass, persistent chords and analog synth-tension. OCH collaboration with Tokyo’s scene leaders Den & Pi-Ge after trips to DJ in Japan. As co-founder of the Pan Records label and collaborator with Mathias Kaden as Mathimidori, DJ PI-GE has been integral to the capital's current wave of house and techno, whilst standing as a DJ has seen bookings at respected European haunts Panorama Bar, Womb and Robert Johnson. His track "Down Map" features soft vocals, and catchy drifting synths which build and tease over an 8 minute backdrop of tight, club
orientated percussion. Expertly mixed and pre-mastered by David Koch aka Dewalta. op.disc regular DEN has an equally fruitful musical heritage having lived in London and Berlin and recorded for electronic institutions like Soma and Trapez.  SOLD OUT

tracker. The A Side cut, "Sophisticated Animated", contains a level of
funk and energy that is often lost in today's house music. Being
constantly inspired by the US pioneers of the genre, OCH presents
stripped back Chicago grooves alongside heavy analogue bass and jacking percussion, teasing with a sprinkling of 303 acid and a sparse yet
deadly piano solo. Up next, "Moonlight Sonata" is OCH's deepest work to date, incorporating dubstep inspired drums and ambience with lush
old-school synth chords which build and modulate before the track

OCH recently recorded for Baby Ford's PAL SLimprint, gaining support from a diverse range of DJing luminaries including ZIP, Sammy Dee and Efdemin. Thunderous drums, hypnotizing chords and a cheeky sample that the old house heads will be sure to
recognise make this one for the peak time. Claro Intelecto's Warehouse
Sessions on Modern Love is regarded by many as one of the most
definitive collections of contemporary techno to hit the shelves in
recent years. Fresh back from remixing Depeche Mode he takes time out
of his busy schedule for remix duties. Taking his cues from the
warehouse classics that accompanied him through years in Manchester's
revered clubs like the Hacienda, Home and Paradise Factory, he serves up
a powerful, stripped down reworking of the original track that is
equally suited to sweaty dance floors.


Dan Curtin: The Fugitive - Auto 10

London imprint Autoreply celebrates its 10th release with an incredibly
solid 12" from Dan Curtin, the techno don responsible for the label's
first ever release. His Lifeblood album on Mobilee was one of the more
underrated long players released in 2010, and here he marks the start of
a new year with two very special tracks. Head straight for "The
Fugitive", a peak time party bomb featuring deeply effective synth stabs
over a powerful techno backdrop finished with a soulful sprinkling of
female vocals. There are simply not enough tracks like this doing the
rounds at present - one other that springs to mind is the cheeky Power
House 12" that Hardwax fans will have noted with glee in late 2010. Flip
over for "Fly By Night", an impressive blend of old and new in which
Curtin utilises soaring 303s, reverb-soaked piano chords and a rib

Centrality is a strong, peak time techno track that features raw 909 percussion paired with an infectious synth riff & haunting house vocals finishing on a Transmat style synth solo, the kind of track that stays in your head for hours if not days after you've left the nightclub. Autoreply's aptly named After Hours 12" sees Rourke subtly create a sonic landscape in which every note matters, and reminds us that techno can indeed be a deeply emotional form of music. This is the kind of EP you wish would magically start playing during the taxi ride home from Berghain or some other temple of techno; its music to soundtrack personal reflection; deeply introspective and atmospheric. Blue features shuffling synths bouncing off delicate keys and deep scrapes that appear unannounced alongside ethereal vocal snippets. Pier Buccis remix utilises the title tracks subtle instrumentation and takes it up a notch. Baby Ford has been making electronic music since the late 1980s and is
regarded by most as one of the key players in the nascent UK acid house
scene. His entry into the Autoreply stable is a classy, versatile two
tracker. The title track showcases crisp, tight linear drum programming with ribcage shaking sub bass and supernatural synths which undulate over its eight minute cycle, displaying the original principles of minimal techno alongside forward thinking sound design. On the flip you'll find "Westway", originally recorded on Ford's now defunct hardware set up and mastered from DAT. This track conjours images of smoky late night jazz clubs with its smooth piano chords and strings that seem to float in an out of the mix- set starter, nightclub techno lesson, afterparty showpiece; the choice is yours...
